During the week of March 19th, a group of independent Agents for Trinity Logistics attended the first session of the Agent Boot Camp offered by Trinity. The purpose of the Boot Camp program was to offer continuing education to the independent Agent group that works so closely with Trinity’s corporate office, as a way of continuing to provide the tools necessary for a successful independent business. The program was limited to a small number of attendees on a first come, first served basis with the intention of allowing for a comfortable environment filled with learning and relationship building opportunities. Throughout the week, Agents learned more about the services available to their customers through their partnership with Trinity Logistics. Services available, such as Less-Than-Truckload, Intermodal, Dray, Warehousing, TMS opportunities and marketing resources were just a few of the educational sessions available. During each session, Agents were given the information needed to effectively manage, and sell, within that particular mode of transportation, or service. One of the most memorable and exciting aspects of the Boot Camp program is the opportunity to network and build relationships. Agents, who work within independent offices located throughout North America were able to meet with the team members that help with their administrative functions – such as billing, carrier payables, claims and carrier vetting. They also spent time with one another, learning about ways that other Agents handle their business and finding ways to collaborate with one another. There were Agents in attendance who have only been partnered with Trinity a year, and others that have been working in the industry for 20+ years! The Agent Boot Camp program is the newest way that Trinity works to show their commitment and support of independent Agent offices. Through virtual classes, meetings, podcasts, training, an Annual Agent Meeting and routine reviews and phone calls, the Agent Support team at Trinity’s corporate office continues to provide new resources to support both the personal, and professional development of partnered independent Agents.
